Peacefully let the State of New Mexico withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.

New Mexico has been suffering for too long from a wasteful federal government. 27% of our population is in poverty (7% above national average), our median annual income is $6024 under the national average, and 21% of us are uninsured - 5% above the national average - and yet our state has had far lower State Budget Shortfalls than the national average for many years now. The land of Enchantment can - and does!- grow its own food, raise its own cattle, protect its own borders, and support its own people. We have an abundance of fossil fuels and opportunities for renewable energy, as well as a wealth of historical monuments and tourist attractions. Separated from our union, we would have the opportunity to achieve our full potential.
