Certain citizens of Texas are clearly being deprived of adequate education because only the extremely ignorant would file petitions requesting secession from the Union. Federal funding should be allocated to the distribution of materials informing the people of Texas that secession has been attempted before, and went very poorly for the seceding parties. Just because you lose a democratic Presidential election, just like Stephen A. Douglas' supporters in 1860, doesn't mean you can throw a two week tantrum like spoiled children and claim a right to start your own country. God Bless America.
