For decades, politicians have unjustly favored New York City when it comes tax allocation. In the meantime, the Western and Central New York communities starve. For example, New York City professional sports teams receive new stadiums while a team like the Buffalo Bills has to continually renovate a tired old stadium. New York City, with its incredibly high crime rate, has bled the rest of the state dry. School funding is dangerously low and if New York City is removed from the state, the remainder of the state will have a better chance of survival. It is time to allow New York City to exist on its own or it is suggested to annex New York City to New Jersey.
