Secession is by no means constitutional, nor will leaving the union make the problems we face go away. Petitions to such effect serve no purpose other than to hinder more constructive efforts to find solutions to our problems, and they will only draw attention away from valid petitions that actually do need the signatures. If we were to secede every time someone was elected that we didn't like, then not a town could be called a "nation". We the people respectfully request that those calling for succession stop bringing embarrassment to themselves and their states and instead start thinking about how to rebuild, not regress. We further request the government close these secession petitions as soon as possible for the aforementioned reasons.
