Penalty free withdrawals from IRAs and 401(k)s as proposed by then Sen.Obama in his intial run for Pres. to help us.

During his run for the Presidency in 2008, then Sen. Obama
called for penalty-free hardship withdrawals from IRAs and
401(k)s for 2 years...."to help families ....make it through these tough times." After being elected, that idea died.
What happened? Now on his re-election, the plight of the
middle and working class in 2013 is worse than Pres. Obama
originally made that statement. To add insult to injury, we have the people affected by Hurricane Sandy so desperate to rebuild their lives, but held back due to lack of financial resources. Pres.Obama should propose penalty-free withdrawals from 401(k)s and IRAs and restoration of
financial penalities incurred retroactive to June 2009 for anyone who had to tap into those funds. It's not a handout,
charity,or welfare. It's our own money.
