I work as a Chaplain at a homeless shelter. I have seen too many homeless people die because insurance companies will not allow churches to have the homeless stay overnight. I have seen too many people die because in-patient drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs turn people away for insurance reasons. The most broken and poverty stricken members of our communities are dying because of the current insurance system.
I ask you to sign this petition to raise awareness amongst our fellow people and the American Government that these issues exist and must be addressed. This is the first step to saving lives and changing lives.
