The Social Security Number (SSN) plays a more and more important role in the daily life.
However, there are a group of people living in the United States, not "eligible" to apply an SSN, such as people possessing an F2 Visa (the spouse or children of international students).
Without an SSN, these people come across a lot of troubles while living in the US.
Opening a bank account, or a cell phone account (or internet / gas/ electricity account), or applying driver’s license, even applying to rent an apartment, etc. all demands for an SSN.
People who are not "eligible" to apply an SSN, because they are not eligible to work in the US. But they should have the right to lead a better and more convenient life.
There should be a kind of SSN for these people!
