PEOPLES' PETITION TO UNITED NATIONS TO RE-OPEN THE ISSUE OF SELF-DETERMINATION FOR SABAH AND SARAWAK

Created by J.A. on February 18, 2015

We, the people of Sabah and Sarawak, are writing to seek the assistance of the United Nations to review the arbitrary and indecorous surrender of our sovereignty by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland under Command of Her Majesty The Queen of England, to the Federation of Malaysia on the 16th September 1963; and which was sanctioned by the United Nations without exercise of the right to self-determination in contravention of the spirit and letter of the United Nations and Decolonization Declaration adopted by the General Assembly Resolution 1514 (XV) of the 14th December 1960.

Our letter to the Secretary General United Nation dated 9th August 2014 and response by UN Resident Coordinator of Office of The United Nations in Malaysia dated 26th September 2014 are related.
