The recent shooting in Newtown, CT proves how weak and vulnerable our security measures are at elementary, middle, and high schools across the country. This proposed law would allow the surgical replacement of all educators' hands with high-powered, military-grade semi-automatic firearms, with all medical and ammunition expenses paid for by the Federal Government.
If all teachers across this great land had guns for hands, they would be consistently armed, ready for action, and able to stop another tragic school shooting before it starts. Teachers would also be contractually obligated to spend 8 to 10 hours per week at a shooting range, in addition to their regular duties.
The wait is over. We need to tackle this issue NOW before it is too late.
