The United States government should issue a permanent travel warning to all Americans traveling to Mexico. Given the institutional corruption within all levels of the Mexican government and rampant crime from drug cartels and other criminal elements the US government should do more to warn Americans of Mexican travel. The warning should be prominently displayed at all boarder crossings in such a manner to ensure Americans can change their course of action prior to crossing the boarder. Prior to completing any online sale of travel to Mexico the travel warning should be displayed to purchaser. US airlines and cruise lines or flights or cruise originating from the US should be required to make a verbal announcement prior to getting on the flight or cruise and in the case of cruise lines
