Daylight Savings Time was created many years ago to benefit agriculture.
Today, it serves no such purpose. Farmers climb in their tractors, turn on their headlights, and farm all night long sometimes by the guidance of GPS.
DST actually creates more problems than it solves in our modern world. Because of the upset to circadian rhythms, health problems spike around the change each year. Productivity, entertainment, church attendance, and many other valued American traditions are hurt by the confusion and frustration it causes. With cell phones and alarm clocks that sometimes update themselves, and sometimes do not, the American people suffer.
