permanently raise the maximum age for military active duty and federal law enforcement to 42.

The current age cutoff for both the US military and federal law enforcement positions falls in the the early to mid thirties age range. Due to laws such as don't ask don't tell and life responsibilities such as family and education some would be applicants exceed the maximum age requirement for these positions. I feel that if an applicant can successfully pass a physical screening and complete the required training they should be afforded the opportunity to serve their country.
