USDA’s “Wildlife Services” cruelly and unnecessarily kills wildlife using our money to protect private profits (usually in the form of livestock). WS has no interest in protecting a healthy environment for fish and wildlife.
From 2000-2012, the agency had killed 50,000 non-target animals, including federally protected and endangered animals and more than 1,100 dogs, including pets. WS has exposed the public to cyanide by leaving out 1080 poison traps. Its crusade to shoot animals from helicopters has killed 10 people and injured many others. The executions are indiscriminate.
Please sign this petition and let’s get some long overdue action taken to permanently abolish this group and keep those with no wildlife or ecology background from “managing” our wildlife!
