Adults at the age of eighteen or higher should be permitted to buy alcohol at the age of eighteen. Eighteen year-olds are obligated to register for the draft, and due to the 26th amendment, eighteen year-olds are allowed to vote. Why are they not allowed to purchase alcohol? Some may say it's because they're only buying it to drink it, but there are young adults who don't buy it, yet still drink it. Some may also say that people die behind the wheel due to alcohol. As human beings, we tend to blame our own faults on other things. One of these things happens to be alcohol. Instead of teaching younger people that alcohol is something forbidden, we should teach them to be responsible and think reasonably before consuming alcohol. Alcohol will not be a scapegoat.
