Permit Licensed Professional Counselors to serve in the military as Licensed Mental Health Providers.

Created by E.C. on April 29, 2013

As the growing number of suicides and other traumatic stressors continue in our military forces it seems unexplainable as to why the Department of Defense and Office of Personnel Management will not permit additional Licensed Mental Health professionals to serve in the uniformed services. Licensed Professional Counselors possess a skills set that is equivalent to that of Licensed Clinical Social Workers as both professions require a passing of a licensure examination, direct clinical post graduate supervison and continuing education.
