I am a disabled Veteran and Medical Doctor Lic. to Practice in US. I've been denied employment as a physician treating other veterans in Veterans Administration, and Other Fed. Agencies for not having a Board Specialty Certification which is an optional certification not precluding licensing in any state to practice general medicine. Many veterans have disabilities which have prevented them from completing many of their specialty training but still have ability to practice general medicine. VA using civilian ranking and credentialing criteria has created an obstacle for disabled veterans to get in and work in general medicine jobs such as comp. and pension conducting physicals and non specialized duty. Preference must be given to Vets w Disab. and Licensed to work.
