This petition is to allow physicians to offer a means to die with dignity without criminal penalty.
-Terminally ill patients should have the consensual option to die with dignity rather than suffer their final days, weeks, months or years.
-This would allow only terminally ill patients to die with dignity, not people suffering from depression or treatable mental/emotional states and/or disorders; patients would need to be evaluated prior to receiving this service.
-As it is permissible to euthanize suffering animals, so should it be for suffering humans.
-Allow doctors to offer this service without criminal penalty, and without mandating that a private practice should be forced to perform this procedure.
