Permit the right to bear arms to those that are found not to be a danger to others and have been deemed as stable

Created by T.K. on August 10, 2015

Those that have been in a mental hospital should still be allowed the right to bear arms so long as they are not a danger to others, don't have schizophrenia, or any mental health diagnosis that would deem them a danger to society and have been deemed stable by a psychiatrist for a minimum of 5 years should be allowed to get a permit for a firearm for their protection. Not everyone who is hospitalized, even under a court -ordered evaluation are dangerous. People just sometimes need a break from emotional things going on in their lives. No two people deal with loss or other stressors the same. Sometimes it can become overbearing and one must be hospitalized, but do they deserve to be penalized; No. So let's allow them to have the same rights as others: THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS.
