We the people want congress to abolish the electoral college! We want our voices heard, our vote to matter, and our election process to accurately represent the people of the United States. We the citizens of the United States are being withheld the ability to directly elect the president and the vice president, as a result of the electoral college. The president of the United States is not selected based on how many citizens vote for a particular candidate (popular vote) but is chosen by these "electors". This system is unreliable and allows a candidate to LOSE the election even though they hold the popular vote. Furthermore, this system allows the potential corruption from faithless electors. We the people want our voting system to accurately represent the people of the United States.
