We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

A petition for all articulated buses within the United States to Make Accordion noises when they go around corners

Created by K.M. on May 19, 2016

We request legislation requiring that all articulated buses (otherwise known as "bendy" or "accordion" buses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Articulated_bus) operated by publicly-funded transportation agencies within the United States make accordion-like noises as they go around corners. Accordion noises, which are very unusual in most settings where articulated buses operate, are likely to increase pedestrian awareness of these buses, and thereby reduce the rate of pedestrian fatalities by buses within the United States. Further, an accordion-like bus going silently around a corner just seems unnatural. We ask that legislation be introduced to increase safety, and enjoyability of the public transit experience.
