Petition that all congress members donate their income equaling a furlough amount to federal budget fund.

Created by R.D. on March 04, 2013

All congressmen should donate to the federal budget an equal amount of their personal earned federal salary to the match the furlough days they have imposed on all federal employees and contractors through their DUMB actions. Because the congress must vote for their salary reductions, etc., the year before it becomes effective, they are conveniently able to avoid feeling the unfair hardship they impose on the rest of federal employment. This petition would ask them to give up to the 22 days of unpaid time to the federal budget. If their base pay is $174,000 then one day of pay is $670 and 22 days that would be $14,740 donation each congressman/woman would make to the federal budget. It is proporational to the amount each employee is losing this sequester action.
