Puerto Rico is facing a historical default, which has been created by poor and inefficient previous administrations. As of 2015, records show that more than 5.1 millions of Puerto Rican citizens have left in search of a better future for them and their families. These numbers top's the total of actual citizens residing in the island. This is why WE, the people of Puerto Rico calls for the Congress to order an amendment of the Commonwealth's Absentee Voters Rules and Regulations for the upcoming General Elections, which are scheduled for November 8th, 2016. We respectfully request that additional wording is added to the current and revised rules. Every Puerto Rican citizen should be allowed to vote regardless of current country of residence, reasons, and the time of relocation.
