This petition is to ask President Barack Obama to stop using Executive Orders to try and bypass the checks and balances that were originally set up by the founders of this country to ensure that one branch would not be able to control too much power.
The Representatives in the House and United States Senators are voted in by the citizens of the United States and are therefor the voice of the citizens of the United States. No one man should have the authority to create or enforce any laws solely on his own opinion of how the citizens of the United States should live their lives or what laws the citizens should or should not follow.
Such actions, no matter how good the intentions of the order, can set a precedent for future orders of a much more tyrannous nature.
