Petition to award Frederick Mayer a belated Congressional Medal of Honor for heroism in WWII

Created by E.A. on April 26, 2016

Last week we lost a great American Hero, his name was Frederick Mayer, a WWII veteran who served his country beyond duty in World War II. He was a humble man always defining his life through actions rather than words. He passed away quietly at the age of 94yrs and we mourn his passing.
Freds accomplishments were the stuff of WWII legends in History.
They are fully documented in books, documentaries and even a movie about how he risked his life behind enemy lines in Austria as an OSS agent, to save Americans.
He was recommended by General Bradley himself, for the Congressional Medal of Honor(CMH)!
Sadly Fred Mayer was twice passed over for the CMH, never truly honored for his heroism.
The reasons given should disgust every decent American.
We must unite to correct this INJUSTICE
