Petition to award Victoria Soto The Presidential Medal of Freedom

Whereas, On December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut, Victoria Soto, an elementary teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School faced overwhelming danger and gave her life to protect and save the lives of her 16 angels (students).

In light of her actions, on behalf of the people of the United States request the President of the United States, to bestow upon Victoria Soto the highest honor a nation can and without delay, The Presidential Medal of Freedom with Distinction posthumously.

Additionally we request the President of The United States to support and encourage Congress on the Nation's behalf to unanimously award Victoria Soto the Congressional Gold Medal.
