A Petition calling for the Impeachment of Mitch McConnell and to have him put on trial for treason

With the death of Antonin Scalia, a vacancy has opened in the Supreme Court. The Judicial Branch has a position that needs filling and it is the duty of the President of the United States of America to appoint a new justice. However, Republican Senator and Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell has vowed to refuse the appointment of a new Justice to the Supreme Court, thus refusing to fulfill his required constitutional duties. By refusing to do his duty and inhibiting the workings of the Judicial Branch, he is commiting an act of treason to the United States of America. We the People immediately call for the impeachment of Mitch McConnell, and that he be brought to trial as a traitor.
