We the people, feel that the Electoral College voting system is an out of date way to exercise our democracy and we feel misrepresented by it. We believe that the way our votes are counted is unfair and doesn’t carry the true weight of the people wish and desire. We come before you to propose, in a democratic way, to let the people choose how our electoral system should be. We would like to have an election where the popular vote will be counted to see how many of us are in favor of continue using the Electoral College system and how many of us would like to have a more direct election where every and each person count and have the same power to elect. Changing our voting system could also increase our voter turnout. This is the only path to true democracy.
