This petition is for a possible solution to fixing the Veteran's Administration healthcare problem with wait times. A common sense solution would be to create a program that mirrors Medicare part C that veterans can opt into. This would act as a release valve that would decrease the wait times at VA facilities and allow veterans with serious medical conditions to get treatment at other providers that specialize in certain conditions for cancer, mental health, the physically disabled, etc.
