Currently, healthcare costs continue to rise. The passing of the Affordable Care Act will not be enough to lower the costs associated with health care. Many businesses have already threatened to raise prices associated with the Affordable Care Act while insurance companies continue to raise premiums and co-pays. A National Single-Payer System will avoid all of these problems by virtually eliminating all monopolistic 'for-profit' insurance companies and their billionaire CEO's . Under this system, each individual contributes to a National Health Insurance Pool through a Federal Health Payroll Tax (usually around 5% of your weekly/bi-weekly check). With this, there would no longer be deductibles, co-pays, prior-authorizations and doughnut holes which currently affect millions of Americans.
