We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

A petition to end all Federal Government involvement in the private sale, purchase, and ownership of weaponry.

Created by M.M. on July 18, 2016

Amendment 2 of the United States Constitution states,"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The Constitution tells the federal government what it may or may not do, and how it may go about doing what it may do. Amendment 2 is clear that the Federal Government MAY NOT endorse, suggest, or pass any bill, law, or executive order which would limit the ownership of weaponry by a private citizen. The Federal Government has already violated Amendment 2 many times, and has encouraged the several states to do so as well, by passing many such unconstitutional laws and acts. The current administration has done and encouraged nearly irreparable harm to the rights of the people in this regard.
