Time Warner has become increasingly audacious. Here in NC they've actually passed legislation through the general assembly preventing any local municipality from starting a public broadband network, decrying it as unfair competition for their corporation.
I had been lulled into complicity until this latest outrage where they decided to start charging a modem fee for equipment that I've been using for the last 5 years.
This is just emblematic of what we can come to expect from this company if they are allowed to continue their unfettered control of 21st (!!) century methods of communication that are all but unavoidable at this point.
The government needs to regulate this industry because if the American people (and infrastructure) are doomed if this is allowed to continue unchecked.
