Homelessness is a problem in all of the states. Utah has set a precedent, using studies, showing that state funded housing for the homeless is less expensive than the hospital and police costs related to homeless people. I suggest that a similar policy of federal or state funded housing for the homeless should be implemented. It should help those who are down on their luck to have a stable situation to elevate themselves economically and otherwise. Especially during the winter of 2013/2014 homeless people are facing terrible conditions. Let's get them off the streets so that they can strive towards a better way of life.
