President Obama, we want you take action with an Executive Order to support our law enforcement.
* Meet with police department leaders who have seen success with community outreach, to highlight methods police departments (like Tustin, CA and Wichita, KS) already use to peacefully engage with the public.
*Earmark the necessary resources to initiate and develop community surveys on a national scale, to evaluate public concerns about racism, inequality and any fears that local communities have re: the safety of their cities. Pair this national survey with the annual crime report and expand it, to include the use of force and deadly force going forward.
*Bring together police representatives to create a template for community policing programs.
