Petition to lower Congressional pay to the average mean salary of their constitutes, or the national average.

This petition has been created in response to the lack of understanding of the economy that has been demonstrated by congress.

1: That both members of the House of Representatives and the Senate shalt make not more than the average mean salary of the nation as determined by collected IRS tax data from the previous year.
2: Should a Congressman’s constitutes average mean salary be lower than the national average, then that congressman’s salary shalt be adjusted to match the average of their constitutes, as determined by IRS, state, and local tax data.
3: Congressional pay will be lowered per month by the same percentage of unemployment nationwide, as long as unemployment is above 5%.
