We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Petition to make child support tax deductible.

Created by G.J. on November 11, 2016

This petition calls for the addition of a tax deduction as relief for financial expenditures of noncustodial parents and would give incentives to pay child support. This would ease the burden of working non- custodial parents who pay court ordered child support. A 50% return on the expenditure would not be unreasonable. The money paid goes back into the economy , to pay for basic needs. The custodial parent gets the benefits of child support and a deduction at the end of the year. Yet the non-custodial parent can not claim the child they support even as a child care deduction. This is a call for immediate action to be heard and decided.
