Petition for a more Democratic Congress
Technology can be used to harbor good will and progress humanity, or it can be used for destructive purposes. In this we wish to enhance the Democratic virtues of effective participation and control of the addenda, by integrating a virtual platform for citizens to propose bills to the U.S. Congress and to vote on the merit of those bills, that can be passed into legislation.
In the time of the Founding Fathers, the ability of every citizen to participate in the everyday processes of legislation was impractical. Now that a preponderance of the American people have access to the internet, and thus near instantaneous communication from around the world, it reasons we should use this to enhance our Democracy.
