The signatures on this petition have been assembled to express the need for there NEVER TO BE a federal law enforcement agency that specializes in investigating the ethical conduct of all law enforcement agencies in the United States of America. Such an attempt at the federal level is an overreach of government. Local law enforcement agencies can well conduct their own investigations into the ethical conduct of their officers under the aegis of the local citizenry.
