President Obama has elected NOT to attend Justice Scalia's funeral. Regardless of your political ideology, it is his duty to display reverence to the life of a member of such an honorable group of people by attending Scalia's funeral. The supreme court was created specifically to transcend temporary political feelings and ideologies, and to maintain the integrity of this nation's foundation. This is about reverence and propriety, not ideology.
