Instruct Secretary of Defense to stand by his own words to place combat readiness and the welfare of the troops first. Immediately reduce the senior ranks of military & civilian defense department personnel by 25% and rebuild staffs accordingly. Stop unaffordable over-compensation and excessive perks to these people. Affect a bottom up approach to reorganizing senior personnel, not top down. WWII had less than 800 flag ranks, today over 1600 is preposterous, unnecessary, and unaffordable. Excessive compensation of all senior ranks and executive levels needs to end while the revolving door with industry needs to be closed, it is unethical and dishonorable. POTUS must demand SecDef first clean-up his own seriously top-heavy unproductive organization before considering priorities of cuts
