Following the devastation from Storm / Hurricane Sandy, an outpouring of support, both nationally and locally, became critically important to address life-threatening challenges and ongoing needs in the affected regions. The support included first responders, fire/police, health care, and volunteers. It also included many others, whose dedication helped restore electricity and communications, deliver and distribute fuel, provide food and critical supplies, maintain banking, and initiate infrastructure repairs. Please join this petition in requesting a Presidential Proclamation giving thanks at Thanksgiving to each and every individual who provided help at a time of urgent need.
