Petition that pure electric cars (no gasoline engines) and hydrogen fuel cells cars have access to car-pool lanes.

Global warming due to carbon emissions is raising temperatures world-wide, creating havoc with climate change, destroying the habit of wild life leading to extinction of species (who have as much a right to their habitat as man as we all share this planet) .
All this when there is absolutely no need for this to be happening. We have access to green technologies which can significantly reduce carbon emissions. The sooner we adopt these greener technologies, the better for all. We owe it not just to the wild life, the next generation but also to ourselves.
