Petition for the Re-Legalization of Dueling

Created by A.F. on July 21, 2016

Long ago, in the early days of our great nation, men and women had the option to defend their honor through the art of dueling. When an individual was insulted by a peer, they had the option to challenge the offender to a duel. The duel was an honorable way of settling grievances, and the two parties would normally settle their differences after the said duel. The great president Andrew Jackson even participated in multiple duels, to defend his pride and honor. In our current society, where people are offended by nearly everything, dueling would serve a valuable purpose to allow aggrieved parties to sort their differences with honor, rather than pathetic tantrums.
