A Petition to Recognize that Law Enforcement are getting unjust treatment in the media as well as their everyday lives.

Lately in the news police have been put in dire situations and the media is twisting around the story. There are many situations in which an officer has to work on impulse and act upon the current situation. Some of these stories leave the police to be the criminal in the situation. However, the media misses out on important key details of the situation. Also, police are now put into situations where they must be careful of telling their occupation. As a daughter of law enforcement, this situation puts my whole family in danger. In saying this, I am asking congress to address this matter and to make a law benefiting the police as well. This law could help families of law enforcement to feel safer in society and not have to worry about the biased media who would put their family in danger.
