Currently, lobbyists have greater access and influence than a Congress member’s own constituents. This is totally the opposite of how our government was designed. We are supposed to be a representative Democracy. This means that our elected representatives, House and Senate are required to act in the best interests of their constituents. Giving any amount of time to non-constituents is not acting in their constituents best interests.
Whereby; We the undersigned petition the Government of the United States of America to enact all Laws, Rules and Regulations necessary to totally prohibit any contact with non-constituents on matters of legislation. Member of Congress who do not observe this rule are subject to censure and upon three violations are subject to a recall vote.
