We The People of the United States of America feel that our elected officials should be held to the same standards of accountability that we encounter in our day to day lives as the working class.
We propose that a federal law be written, passed, implemented, and enforced stating that a failure on the part of the sitting Legislative and Executive Branches to create and implement a balanced budget with a focus on debt reduction shall result in an immediate loss of eligibility for re-election for said officials.
Furthermore, we propose that if such a situation occurs, all salaries, benefits, protections, perks, etc. for the sitting Legislative and Executive Branches be immediately rescinded.
