We the People of the United States of America believe that in order to find viable, workable solutions to ensure for the betterment and success of our Nation as a whole, we must remove party politics over national interests especially when associated with budgets, funding, and gov. spending.
We propose that a federal law be written, passed, implemented AND ENFORCED where during any budget duress, sequestration, or potential government shutdown that the salaries, benefits and pensions of Congress, their staff and affiliates be the first to be "cut", defunded, reduced or redirected prior to any other modifications to spending.
Additionally, should the President and Speaker of the House be members of the same party, the aforementioned cuts shall effect the executive branch as well.
