Petition to regulate women's clothing sizes.

Created by A.H. on February 15, 2013

In the men's clothing industry, sizes are standard and they are based on a specific set of measurements. The same cannot be said for women's clothing. Women are a different size in every store they enter. Besides this being incredibly inconvenient, it also causes self image issues. This is especially devastating for people with eating disorders. There was even a case where a woman with average height but only weighing 90lbs due to anorexia was a size medium in a popular clothing store designed for adults. Besides making shopping more difficult for average customers, when sizes are exaggerated it idealizes an unhealthy body image. This petition's goal is to mandate a standard for women's clothing sizes in the United States.
