We think that city or local governments should be able to petition to have buildings in those cities that have not been occupied in over 3 years to be turned into a city park or sports field. As a place of business it has no legitimate economic purposes if it hasn’t occupied for over 3 years. While businesses in larger cities, with a population of 100,000 citizens, could apply to keep the buildings longer because they have larger population and perhaps need more time to get the right business into the space. This will also help the community look cleaner , healthier, and family friendly, as well as providing more jobs because of the people needed to maintain the parks. Parks are also very good areas for family or friends to spend quality time.
