This petition is to Senator John McCain from Arizona to inform him to stop the dropping Tricare Prime from retired vets.

Created by J.S. on January 01, 2013

The purpose is to inform Mr. McCain that removing retired veterans from Tricare Prime and on to Tricare Standard because they live more than 40 miles from a Tricare service center is not an acceptable option. This should never be an option for spending cuts. This petition is mostly signed by veterans and since Mr. McCain is a retired veteran himself he should understand that Tricare Standard will add an increased cost burden on over 171,000 veterans. Mr. McCain should use all resources available to him to avoid such a cut in spending by finding alternative funds to cut, like the State Department, redundant federal agencies and services, or reducing wasteful spending that would easily cover the cost for these veterans. Cutting veteran services should be a last resort, we are not expendable.
