We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Petition for tuition reforms in tertiary education to solve the problem of increasing student debt.

Created by M.L. on December 14, 2016

I have seen many graduates ending up with minimum wage jobs just to meet ends meet or wind up moving back home with mom and dad because the debt crippled them so much financially. This should never be the case with tertiary education, where it's primary purpose is to make way for success. We need to stop this growing pandemic of student loan debts. Of course, not everyone who attends tertiary education accumulate such devastating debts, there are those who financially able and pay out of pocket, those who qualify for government assisted financial aid, and those who qualify for scholarships. But there are a vast majority that do not fall under these brackets. Just this past year, 43.3 million students took out student loans totaling an outstanding debt of $1.35 trillion!!
